BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:20 A.M.) – The Israeli Defense Forces have erected a large sand barrier along the Lebanese border with Upper Galilee, LBCI TV reported on Monday morning.
According to the LBCI report, the Israeli Defense Forces built the sand barrier along the border-town of Mays Al-Jabal, which is inside the Nabatieh Governorate of southern Lebanon.
The Israeli Defense Forces began building the large sand barrier on Sunday, when they moved their bulldozers to the border.
Once they reached the border, the Israeli Defense Forces crossed the United Nations’ “blue line”, prompting the Lebanese Army to raise their alert level.
The Lebanese Army has already issued a complaint to the UNIFIL forces in Lebanon; however, it is unlikely that they will do much as the Israeli troops are all over this area.
Last Wednesday, the Israeli Defense Forces announced the start of “Operation Northern Shield”.
The primary objective of Operation Northern Shield was the destruction of the alleged Hezbollah tunnels that stretch into Upper Galilee.
