On Wednesday morning, the Islamist rebel group “Ajnad Al-Sham” fired a multitude of rockets at the Darayya Administrative Building, creating a large fire to sweep through its vicinity and cause a number of civilian deaths as a result.
Minutes after this heinous assault, the Syrian Arab Air Force (SAAF) responded with their own assault, targeting an agglomeration of Ajnad Al-Sham fighters at the Mo’adimiyah-Darayya axis; these airstrikes would remain non-stop until nightfall dissipated the number of attacks from the Syrian Air Forces inside Darayya.
In conjunction with the Syrian Air Force’s airstrikes, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) – in cooperation with the National Defense Forces (NDF) – carried out a powerful assault near National Hospital, killing over two dozen enemy combatants, including a pair of militants from Kuwait.
The firefights between the Syrian Armed Forces and Ajnad Al-Sham fighters would last until 11 P.M. (Damascus Time), when both sides finally halted the exchange of gunfire and mortar shells at the Mo’adimiyah-Darayya axis.
The Syrian Arab Army’s 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard has recently stepped up their attack on the decrepit city of Jobar in the East Ghouta, targeting the Jaysh Al-Islam (Army of Islam) and Faylaq Al-Rahman (Al-Rahman Corps) fighters near Parliament Square and the Jobar Mail Depot.
According to a military source in Jobar, the Republican Guard has intensified their assault near the city-center in an attempt to obstruct the Jaysh Al-Islam supply route to the east district.
To the east of Jobar, the Republican Guard attacked Jaysh Al-Islam’s last supply route to the East Ghouta at Maydaya, killing 11 enemy combatants, including Khaled Jaleel Mansour and Bashir Hani Haddad.
