Iraq’s BasNews has reported that ISIS have withdrawn from Mosul University which served as a major logistical and housing purpose for the terrorist group.

A source told BasNews that ISIS destroyed all the buildings and internal roads on the campus with bulldozers. The source also said this was to “scorched earth” tactic to slow the advancement of Iraqi forces through this site.

He also said that ISIS had transferred their equipment to areas to “the right side of Mosul, west of Tigris River.”
