DAMASCUS, SYRIA (11:55 A.M.) – The Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) are gaining steady ground in the western Nineveh governorate, liberating five more desert villages over the past 24 hours.
Engaging seemingly demoralized ISIS militants, the PMU – commanded by Haider Al-Ameri – managed to take control over the villages of Tall Ghiza, Hatimyia, Qabosyia, north Kabisa and south Kabisa.
Amid the aforementioned advance, an ISIS car bomb raced towards PMU positions only to be blown apart before reaching its designated target:
The PMU offensive looks to liberate the ISIS stronghold of Al-Ba’aj and push towards the Syrian border, possibly even crossing into the Deir Ezzor governorate in support of the Syrian Armed Forces.
