Footage has emerged showing Shariah enforcers loyal to the Islamic State throwing an Iraqi man, accused of homosexuality, off the top of a building to his imminent death in al-Furat province. According to ISIS officials, the man was arrested and subjected to a mock trial before his death sentence was carried out earlier this week.
The victim, who has not been identified, is shown being led up a staircase towards the roof of a tall building.
Blindfolded and hands bound, the prisoner is made to stand on the edge of the roof while several guards watch on.
On the ground, a large crowd of civilians and ISIS fighters can be seen waiting for the horrific punishment to be carried out. The victims is then shown being pushed off the building to his death.
In its territories, ISIS has imposed strict Shariah-law which prohibitits homosexuality, drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes, apostasy, adultery amongst other issues deemed un-Islamic according to ISIS judges. Since its inception, the self-proclaimed state has become notorious for its appalling human rights, frequently carrying out public executions and floggings.
