BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:05 P.M.) – The Islamic State (ISIS) has taken advantage of the upcoming Syrian Arab Army (SAA) offensive by launching their own attack against the rebel forces in western Dara’a.

According to pro-opposition activists in the Dara’a Governorate, the Islamic State stormed the Free Syrian Army’s (FSA) positions inside the Yarmouk Basin region on Friday.

ISIS attempted to score new advances near the town of Heet, despite several failed attacks in the past.

No advance was reportedly made, but both sides suffered casualties over this brief battle on Friday.

With the Free Syrian Army’s latest mass mobilization of troops in the Dara’a Governorate to fight the Syrian Arab Army, ISIS has attempted to better their positions inside the province by launching their own attacks.
