BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:50 A.M.) – Iraqi forces stopped a would-be Islamic State (ISIS) suicide bomber dead in his tracks this past weekend, destroying his bulldozer fitted with explosives in Mosul.
Filmed by China’s CCTV operated, the video shows the Iraqi Armed Forces stopping the suicide bomber with a field fortification in Mosul’s countryside this past weekend.
ISIS has recently stepped up their suicide attacks in the Mosul countryside in response to the Iraqi military’s steady advances around the Nineveh Plains.
While the entire western half of Mosul remains under the Islamic State’s control, the Iraqi Armed Forces are expected to resume their offensive operations in the coming weeks, as they look to flank the city from several axes.
