According to the Lebanese journalist Hosein Murtada, the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) has suffered over 70 casualties today inside the Al-Baghayliyah District of the Deir Ezzor Governorate, marking one of the bloodiest days of this imperative battle in Syria’s eastern countryside.

Reports from the Deir Ezzor Governorate indicate that the Syrian Arab Army’s 104th Airborne Brigade of the Republican Guard is now on the offensive in Al-Baghayliyah after ISIS attempted to break into the village earlier this morning.

Accoridng to a military source in Deir Ezzor, the Syrian Arab Army’s 104th Airborne Brigade has reportedly rescued two families that were held hostage by the ISIS terrorists near the Radio Broadcast Tower – they are confirmed to be in good health after being rescued.

The Syrian Arab Army’s 104th Airborne Brigade is currently trying to restore the points they lost to the ISIS terrorists in the zal-Baghayliyah District over the weekend; however, this entire fight has gone back-and-forth, with both sides going on the offensive throughout the course of the battle.

ISIS is still attempting to break into the 137th Artillery Brigade’s headquarters in southwestern Deir Ezzor – they have been reportedly held off once again by the soldiers protecting this base.
