BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:30 P.M.) – The so-called Islamic State (ISIS) allegedly shot down a US Army spy blimp over central Iraq this week, the terrorist group’s official media channel posted today.
According to the terrorist group, their fighters spotted and downed the dirigible, a 117 foot long surveillance balloon (aerostat), as it was flying over the outskirts of Tikrit in the Salaheddine Governorate.
The terrorist group then posted photos of the spy blimp via their official media channel.
The U.S. Coalition has not commented on this latest Islamic State claim.
