BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:50 P.M.) – The so-called “Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham” (ISIS) continued their large-scale offensive in east Homs today, targeting the territory around the strategic T-4 Military Airport that is located just west of Palmyra (Tadmur).

ISIS began the day by launching a powerful assault on the Jihar Crossroad  from their positions at Al-Bayarat and Al-Dawa; this resulted in a fierce battle with the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) that lasted much of the morning.

Unable to halt the terrorist onslaught, the Syrian Arab Army’s 11th Tank Division was forced to withdraw from the Jihar Crossing, leaving ISIS within striking distance of the T-4 Military Airbase.

The T-4 Military Airbase is the Syrian Arab Army’s last functioning airport in east Homs; if lost, it could spell disaster for the remaining government forces in this desert region.

I wonder if those new troops came from Mossul? You can’t just come up with 5-6k of manpower out of the blue. It seems the US succeeded in lettings ISIS retreat to Syria and to destabilize the region even more. Let’s finish Aleppo and kick ISIS back to their 72 virgins.

Dont think they all came from mosul itself but a part should have come from there, ISF and militias also cleared a lot of the countryside southwest of the city and they could easely reatreat to syria.
Also read somewhere that Daesh relocated a lot of forces from dear ezzor area. With the T4 base out of business of beseiged than the forces in Dear ezzor will not receive air support like they used to.
Will expect some attacks there soon.

Coalition found and destroyed 168 oil-trucks in Central Syria => 30 cockroaches per tank = near 5k… I think we can assume they took profit of the sand storms a few days ago to transport all this scum by this mean : it’s clear they didn’t came by green-buses and no armed column was around, thus, coalition estimates there are only 18k ISIShits roaches left in Syria so it might be about a quarter of their forces. If some carpet bombings with full loads on Tu-22M (24t) or Tu-160 (40t) and cluster-bombs or thermobarics, this offensive has a big potential… Read more »
