The Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) launched a counter-attack against the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and Levantine Front (Jabhat Al-Shamiya) on Thursday in order to recapture two villages near the strategic town of ‘Azaz in northern Aleppo.
This counter-attack proved successful for the ISIS terrorists as they were able to recapture the villages of Jariz and Yahmoul near the Turkish border-crossing.
Recently, there has been an increase in military activity near the Turkish border-crossing, thanks in large part to the Turkish Army’s large presence along the Aleppo border.
On Thursday, Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, vowed to eliminate the large ISIS presence along the Turkish border, despite the fact that most of these terrorists enter Syria through his country. .
