With the U.S. backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) on the offensive near Raqqa City, the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) have found themselves short of manpower at several fronts, including the Deir Ezzor Governorate.

However, in attempt to deflect from their growing manpower issues, ISIS has launched a desperate offensive along the International Highway in Deir Ezzor.

Not only was this offensive repelled within the first two hours it was launched; but the ISIS terrorists also lost more territory near the Armenian Cemetery that is located to the north of the Panorama Checkpoint.

According to a military source, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) killed 13 enemy combatants during ISIS’ failed offensive, including 4 terrorists of Saudi descent.

The source added that the Syrian Arab Air Force (SAAF) is now conducting airstrikes over the village of Al-Shoulah, which is located along the International Highway.

“(ISIS) have found themselves short of manpower at several fronts, including the Deir Ezzor Governorate.”
Offensive of Kurds against Raqqa is great for SAA, too! So many SAA-Fans against Raqqa-Offensive, but why should it be bad? Otherwise SAA could collapse in Deir Ezzor one day.

ISIS will have to move its manpower to Raqqa, won’t have enough forces to keep on with the offensives in Deir Ezzor City and will find it difficult to keep on fighting SAA in the Palmyra-Deir Ezzor road. I guess they will try to mount a strong defense in the towns they control along the way.
That’s the real reason for the re-deployment of Tiger Forces to Aleppo…
My guess? Tiger forces will start pushing through Eastern Aleppo, trying to get to Raqqa using the Kuweyres-Raqqa highway in order to arrive there before YPG-SDF forces take the city…

al-Nusra and their alliees is a much more biggest problem than ISIS for SAA : they have much more modern weapons than IS, have better training and better supplies…
