BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:45 P.M.) – The so-called Islamic State (ISIS) launched another big assault in the southern suburbs of Damascus, targeting the Free Syrian Army’s (FSA) positions along the Yalda-Hajar Al-Aswad axis.
According to a pro-opposition activists in southern Damascus, the Islamic State attempted to advance along Al-Zein Street, which is located in the eastern corridor of Hajar Al-Aswad.
No gains have been reported by either party.
Last week, the Islamic State launched a big assault inside Hajar Al-Aswad, capturing several buildings along Al-Zein Street after clashing with both Jaysh Al-Islam and the Free Syrian Army.
