BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:30 P.M.) – The Free Syrian Army (FSA) and Islamic State (ISIS) are busy clashing with one another in the southwestern countryside of the Dara’a Governorate, as the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continues to amass troops in the government stronghold of Izra’a.

According to local reports, an Islamic State affiliate and the Free Syrian Army clashed at several axes in southwest Dara’a, today, resulting in a series of firefights at the towns of Heit and Sheikh Sa’ad.

No advances were reported by either party.

While these two groups fight one another, the Syrian Army is preparing to kickoff their long-awaited offensive inside the provincial capital and eastern countryside of Dara’a.

The Syrian Army is expected to begin this offensive in the coming weeks as they finalize their preparations for this large-scale assault.
