DAMASCUS, SYRIA (6:45 P.M.) – Moments ago, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) severed nearly one hundred ISIS-held villages in central Syria from the Islamic State mainland further east.

According to Al-Masdar News correspondent Ibrahim Joudeh, a long-standing jihadist controlled region that stretches from eastern Hama to central Homs has been entirely encircled by the SAA due to a broad front offensive entailing multiple simultaneous pincers over the past week.

The military source said SAA troops pushed north of the Al-Shaer Mountain and met up with the SAA’s Tiger Forces that in the same time pushed south of Ithriyah, thereby cutting off all ISIS roads leading from Deir Ezzor to the oil-rich pocket in central Syria that remains anchored around the by now vulnerable Islamic State stronghold of Uqraybat.

A second smaller ISIS enclave has also formed south of the Ithriyah-Zakia highway due to a second government push led by Major General Suheil Al-Hassan.

In the coming weeks, the SAA hopes to eliminate both pockets and expel ISIS from central Syria once and for all. Once this task is achieved, government forces will free up tens of thousands of troops for an eastern thrust that aims to secure Deir Ezzor city.

I pray that the good news keeps coming and that any spoiling
US ‘mistake ‘ attacks are thwarted.

As the terror gangs are pushed toward Deir Ezzor the danger for the SAA garrison will grow but I am sure the Russian and SAA planners will have a plan to mitigate that.

I fear they don’t and hope SAA can hold their ground in DEZ City. Right now ISIL is vulnerable at all fronts. The best move would be to move on DEZ from T2 and Raqqa province top completly encircle ISIL, secure the city and then wipe them out once and for all.

I am glad that SAA is on the victory track but I think burning flags and taking pictures will just buy more soldiers for ISIS. They should not do that because the name of Allah is written there.

You surely know about the Hadiths. Here’s one : “Islam was initiated as something strange, and it would revert to its (old position) of being strange, and it would concentrate between the two mosques [Mecca and Medina]”-Sahih Muslim Book 001, Hadith #0270 If it buys more loonies into IS, it’ll make more dead loonies… Actually, SAA and all others should stop being “politically correct”. They should consider a modernised version of General Pershing method against Filipino jihadists a century+ ago : Pershing suspended pigs over jihadists’ grave and then spilled the pig’s blood on their carcasses… Let’s be creative! Let’s… Read more »

I hope you know that Hadith is not credible source among both Shia or Sunni scholars. It is Quran that has no errors in the Islamic view.(Because it is considered word of God) on the other hand, Hadith is written by humans who narrated history. There are lots of fake Hadith in the resources. You may find a hadith that if you eat onions you will go to heaven!!!
For the Arab or non Arab, I think peace is the most important priority at the moment.

By then it will be too late because the US Kurdish slaves would have overran Deir Ezzur themselves with all of its gas and oil fields after another hand over by their ISIS allies, leaving the Syrian Arab Army encircled by the Kurds in those parts of the city which it still holds today.
