BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:45 P.M.) – The Islamic State (ISIS) has recently stepped up their operations against the rebel forces in the Idlib Governorate, targeting the latter in several parts of the province using their sleeper cells.
In a new report from their official media wing, the Islamic State claimed they carried out drive-by shooting against some Jaysh Al-Izza fighters along the Ma’arat Al-Nu’man Road in southern Idlib.
As shown in the first two pictures below, the ISIS terrorist opened fire up close on the Jaysh Al-Izza fighters that were riding on a motorcycle:
Following this attack, the Islamic State planted bombs along a road in rural Idlib and detonated them once the Sharia chief of Idlib city, Anas Ayrout, was seen traveling through this area.
Ayrout was critically wounded as a result of this attack, along with several of his associates.
