The Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) imposed full control over the small village of Khirbat Zeidan in the west Raqqa countryside on Monday night after successfully seizing the Rusafeh Crossroad along the Sukhanah-Tabaqa Road.

According to local reports, the Islamic State has captured more than 15 km of territory from the Syrian Armed Forces over the 24 hours.

With the capture of Khirbat Zeidan, the Islamic State terrorists are now within striking distance of the Syrian Arab Army’s positions at the large village of Albu Allaj, which is located along the Salamiyah-Raqqa Highway.

I said from the start that the Raqqa offensive is nothing but a waste of time for SAA..

Waste of time is not the worst. A lot of dead soldiers are much worse in this race to Raqqa.

Really bad news. Hope, this will end soon. Did the Army over-protect the flanks? The Army strategy saves a lot of lives but sometimes it gives the opponents the time they need to make defenses or regroup and attack.
