The Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) has made significant progress in the Aleppo Governorate’s northern countryside overnight, capturing 8 villages from the extremist rebels near the Turkish border.

According to the terrorist group’s social media pages, they captured 4 villages last night and then 4 more this morning after a violent battle with Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, the Free Syrian Army (FSA), and Jabhat Al-Shamiyah.

ISIS has shifted its focus to this area of the Aleppo Governorate after losing large chunks of territory to the extremist rebels earlier this week.

With the extremist rebels in full control of Al-Rai, the terrorist group to push their way to the Bab Al-Salamiyah border-crossing from northern Aleppo to the Turkish province of Gaziantep.
