BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:45 A.M.) – A Syrian Arab Army (SAA) officer informed Al-Masdar News on Monday evening that the so-called “Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham” has begun withdrawing from the western countryside of Palmyra after suffering a significant number of casualties over the last three weeks.

ISIS began withdrawing their combatants on Monday after the Syrian Arab Army inflicted heavy casualties on their forces yesterday near the T-4 Military Airport.

According to a military source at the T-4 Airport, a reconnaissance drone provided the Syrian Arab Army images regarding the Islamic State’s gathering point near the T-4 Pumping Station.

Using heavy artillery, the Syrian Arab Army scored several direct hits on the Islamic State gathering points, killing more than 40 enemy combatants and destroying as many as 5 pick-up trucks and 3 armored vehicles, including 2 BMP tanks.

As a result of these losses, the Islamic State has reportedly begun withdrawing their forces to the Al-Raqqa countryside, where their combatants are currently engaged in a fierce battle with the Kurdish-led “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF).

In the coming days, the Syrian Arab Army will launch a massive counter-attack to recapture much of Palmyra’s western countryside, forcing the Islamic State terrorists to concede much of the important gas fields.

I highly doubt killing a few thousand of them would make them leave. They probably need to reserves for some other tasks since they made the Russians look foolish and their job is now done and the place itself is not a valuable strategic asset.

According to France24, seems some French Rafales based in Jordan are loitering around Palmyra, Raqqa and Deir Ezzor. http://scd.france24.com/fr/files_fr/imagecache/aef_ct_wire_image_620/images/afp/d69b692c43eed09892b00978c4b2712847cd55ad.jpg They are supposed to focus on underground shelters (????airborne underground radar in Rafale???? If yes : GOSH!!!!) and take opportunity targets on roaches they might cross the way. Now, don’t hope for the “Great Mute One” (nickname of French army) to say a lot more : it’s not in the house’s habits to brag about what they are exactly doing, thus, according to COMINT, the roaches prefer to be attacked by the US or Russians than by the “vicious Frenchs”. Been thumbdowned by a Daesh fanboy… There’s s.o. thinking that Rafales should target SAA instead of sending takfiris to their 72 virgin goats.
This one would really get mad if I were French prez : I consider all those implied against jihadists could make at least 10 times more cockroashes shawarma and BTW, I’d f*****g use their remains as food for pigs… And, BTW…
MERDE!

Maybe they thumbed You down for bragging about French skills? BTW Current Syrians still are proud about their ancestors successes against French colonial troops. Even anti Assad refugees in Germany are! Plus France is a member of the US-Gulf cabal that started this new type war to install western democracy fighting against the elected president.

Daeshbag, I have not voted you down as others have BUT although I fully understand your pride in the French Fighting Man as indeed I do. I have seen the Ossuary’s of the French dead in the French forts of WW1 and salute them all. I do however despair at the craven language of your French Diplomats. I despair at the all the NATO countries diplomats since 2000 at least. The West is on the wrong side of history as the West has used terrorists of the worst kind imaginable as mercenaries for their dubious Geo Political Aims. IF France… Read more »
