The Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) has launched a massive offensive tonight to recapture a large portion of territory that was lost to the extremist rebels in northern Aleppo this past week.
According to the reports released by ISIS’ social media wing, the terrorist group launched the offensive from two different axes (west Azaz and south of Mare) in order to flank the Free Syrian Army (FSA), Jabhat Al-Shamiyah, and Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham near the Turkish border.
So far, the terrorist group’s media wing has claimed that they have captured the following villages in the eastern countryside of ‘Azaz: Baraghidah, Al-Bel, Ash-Sheikh Rih, and Tilal Al-Hussein.
The terrorist group is also attempting to capture the strategic villages of Tilalyan and Harbul near the rebel stronghold of Mare’; this attack was launched from their positions at Sawran and Tawqali.
Yesterday, the Free Syrian Army and their allies captured the imperative village of Al-Rai on the Turkish border; this prompted the terrorist to begin a massive counter-offensive.
