BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:20 A.M.) – An Islamic State (ISIS) sleeper cell operating inside the Idlib Governorate has once again targeted Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, killing and wounding several of the latter’s members after detonating an explosive belt near the Turkish border.
At least four Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham fighters were killed and five more were wounded when an Islamic State terrorist detonated his suicide vest inside the jihadist group’s base in the Industrial District of Al-Dana.
This latest attack comes just 48 hours after HTS fighters arrested members of the Islamic State that were operating a sleeper cell inside Idlib city.
It is very likely that we will see more clashes between the two terrorist groups in the coming days, as tensions rise inside the Idlib Governorate.
