The Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) reportedly launched a powerful assault in Sirte’s eastern countryside this weekend, targeting the small village of Al-Sawawah, which is under the control of the Mistrada Brigades.

According to the Islamic State’s official media wing “Al-Amaq,” 65 Libyan fighters were either killed or wounded during the surprise assault this weekend.
