Hassan al-Sawfi, the leader of the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) in Hawija district, announced on Thursday that ISIS have abducted 75 civilians just southwest of Kirkuk.
“This evening, ISIS militants abducted 75 civilians from Hawija district, while fleeing the district,” the PMU leader claimed.
The reasons of abduction was for attempting to leave ISIS-controlled areas.
“The civilians were abducted for leaving the land of caliphate and helping other civilians to flee the ISIS-held areas toward Kirkuk and Salahuddin,” he continued.
“The abduction took place in the area between Hamrin Mountains and southwest of Kirkuk,” Sawfi explained.
“ISIS terrorists are collapsing and lost their ability to fight,” Sawfi added.
