BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:15 A.M.) – The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) launched a large-scale counter-offensive in the Badiya Al-Sham region of western Deir Ezzor on Sunday.

The Islamic State began their assault, yesterday, by storming the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) positions at the northeastern and southeastern axes of the Badiya Al-Sham region.

According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army was forced to withdraw from the areas they recently liberated in western Deir Ezzor after their first line of defense collapsed.

As a result of this Islamic State assault, more than 25 Syrian Arab Army soldiers were killed and dozens more were wounded.

The Islamic State reportedly recaptured all of the territory they lost to the Syrian Arab Army earlier in the week.

While the Russian and Syrian air forces entered the battle late last night, the Islamic State was still able to recover all of the ground they lost in the previous days.

Isis did EXACTLY the same thing to the SAA in Rif Dimashq yesterday, this means the SAA’s lost ground to Isis on two different fronts on the same day. Isis doesn’t control any towns or villages in either of these areas, but miraculously somehow still manages to reinforce and resupply their troops, how? The US enforced 55km exclusion zone around the base at Al-Tanf is the common denominator in this equation, this exclusion zone is Isis’s supply hub and recruitment center. It’s only 75km from this exclusion zone to the area in Rif Dimashq, where Isis just beat up on… Read more »

They were resupplied and received fresh troops by Iranian-backed Iraqi militias.
Iran is teaming with Turkey and Qatar. This diverts the attention from Idlib.
Thus, Qassem plans are seriously compromised : just look how Iraqis are burning Iranian diplomatic missions in Basra, Iraq applies Trump sanctions.
The partition of both Syria and Iraq between Turkey and Iran and the Kurds’ genocide by their ISIS joint proxy are seriously compromised.

This so waited offensive of SAA in Idlib is hurting and will hurt SAA on other regions. USA-Israel terrorists can attack other regions, and one has to have in mind that terrorists are not alone, USA-israel intelligence are on their side, and providing them with weapons and money.
