BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:55 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is cruising in the western countryside of Al-Raqqa, liberating several villages and hilltops from the Islamic State (ISIL) terror organization.
Following the liberation of the Rusafah Station, the Syrian Arab Army’s Tiger Forces advanced south of this site towards a group of villages near the Waheb Oil Fields.
According to a military source, the Syrian Arab Army liberated the villages of Saharej Al-Waheb, Jib Al-Afabous, and Hub Mashraf Inbaj after a short battle with the Islamic State on Friday.
With these aforementioned villages liberated, the Syrian Arab Army will turn its attention to the Al-Waheb Oil Fields, where they look to expel the Islamic State from the area.
