The Syrian Arab Army’s “Tiger Forces” are steamrolling through the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’s (ISIL) defenses in the Aleppo Governorate’s eastern countryside, capturing another 6 villages this morning after clearing them of their IEDs and mines.
According to a military source in the Kuweires Military Airport, the Tiger Forces and their allies captured the villages of Al-Halabiyah, Dawakanah, Al-Sabihiyah, Tal Fa’ouri, Tal Reeman, and Hawujinah, leaving ISIL’s remaining defenses in shambles as they further their advance in east Aleppo.
The military source added that most ISIL fighters abandoned the front before the capture of Turaykiyah last night; however, before they fled the villages in the Al-Safira Plains, the terrorist group planted IEDs all over the roads, making it very difficult for the Syrian Armed Forces to navigate through.
It appears that ISIL has no intentions on saving their remaining fighters at the besieged villages of Mulfisiyah and Qusour Al-Wuroud; instead, several reports confirm that the terrorist group has reinforced their stronghold of Al-Bab.
The remaining villages are expected to fall in the coming days; if not, today – ISIL has no reserves and no supply route to the Al-Safira Plains, so the remaining terrorists will not hold out for long.
