BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:40 P.M.) – The Islamic State’s Inghamsiyeen Unit stormed the Syrian Democratic Forces’ front-lines in the southern countryside of Al-Raqqa, Wednesday, targeting the area south of Kasrt Sheikh Jom’aa town.
According to the terrorist group’s official media wing, their forces managed to kills some SDF fighters and seize their weapons in southern Al-Raqqa; however, they would later lose the territory they gained yesterday.
In response to the Islamic State’s attak, the U.S. Coalition unleashed a flurry of rockets and missiles towards the terrorist group’s front-lines, scoring direct hits on a number of occasions.
With the Al-Raqqa operations heating up for the SDF, the Islamic State forces in the provincial capital find themselves almost fully encircled, as they attempt to fend off the Kurdish-led assault on the city.
