BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:20 P.M.) – Iran”s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is currently participating in the large-scale offensive to liberate the strategic border-city of Albukamal in Syria’s Deir Ezzor Governorate.

In order to help the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies in western Deir Ezzor, the IRGC has carried out several strikes against the Islamic State (ISIS) using their attack drones.

The IRGC attack drones have specifically concentrated on the Islamic State’s positions along the Deir Ezzor-Albukamal Road; this aerial assault was recently highlighted in a video released by Hezbollah’s official media wing – please see below:

These drone attacks have helped the Syrian Army and their allies liberate more than 15km along the Deir Ezzor-Albukamal Road, leaving them only 55km away from the Islamic State’s capital (Albukamal).
