BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:20 P.M.) – Iraq’s Hashd Al-Sha’abi (var. Popular Mobilization Units) forces reportedly blocked a U.S. patrol unit that was attempting to conduct a “suspicious survey” along the Syrian border,  Iraqi activists reported on Tuesday.

According to the reports, the commander of Hashd Al-Sha’abi’s forces in the Al-Anbar Governorate said that the U.S. troops were asking Iraqi soldiers a number of questions about their combat points, manpower, and amount of ammunition and weapons they had in the area.

Hashd Al-Sha’abi is currently deployed along the vast Deir Ezzor-Anbar border, which links western Iraq with eastern Syria.

The Iraqi group works hand-in-hand with their country’s army to monitor the border and ensure the security of this province.

Bullshïts. ISIS founder Zarqawi hid in Iran before being smuggled into Iraq by IRGC in 2002. Take in account who were IS military commanders in 2013-2014 : nearly only former Saddam’s high ranking officers. IS was allied with Izzat al-Douri’s Naqshbandi Army until the fall of Mosul in 2014 when he broke the alliance due to impossible to settle political issues. Maybe you don’t remember that ALL Iraqi Ba’athists were sacked from civil servant and military jobs by Paul Bremer. You must be totally out of your mind seeing IS as an US asset, not counting that USAF was the… Read more »

You must be a idiot or a zionist globalist to believe that nonsense. The Americans set up Isis in camp bucca and then let them free including bagdhadi, It was Iran and the Shia militias that stopped Isis offensive on Erbil and IRGC personally liberated Tikrit, Ramadi and fallujah from Isis as US refused to hit Isis assets from the air.

@Zena, at least Daeshbags-Sux only takes the wrong conclusion from the correct info.

Quite right the US waited as long as IS only troubled the Syrian government of Assad. And the Iraqi Shiite and Kurds did the bleeding to contain IS advance in Iraq. But the US did not found IS.

No. The US did not intentionally set up IS. They merely closed their eyes to the obvious danger they had caused.

@Daeshbags-Sux, the fact that someone hid somewhere does not make a country the founder of an organization. The Lenin’s Bolsheviks hid in Switzerland and Imperial Germany transported them to Russia. But neither founded them.

You say Yourself that You remember that ALL Iraqi Ba’athists were sacked from civil servant and military jobs by Paul Bremer. And the IS military commanders in 2013-2014 were nearly only former Saddam’s high ranking officers. This was AFAIK first researched and published by Der Spiegel.

So forget about Iran. The US caused the dangerous IS union between the Jihadi ghazi and the ex Ba’athist technocrats.

The US forces will eventually leave in any case – Daesh remains slaughtered and annihilated in Iraq, with 10’s of thousands of it’s soldiers made into fertilizer for Iraq’s soil since 2014…
