BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:30 A.M.) – Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (Hashd Al-Sha’abi) are not abandoning their posts along the Syrian border, a source from the group told Al-Maalomah News.

“The news circulated on withdrawal of Hashd Al-Sha’abi from their deployment regions near the Iraqi-Syrian borders after the troops were targeted in Syria are untrue,” the source told Al-Maalomah, as quoted by Iraq News.

The PMU source added that “the forces are deployed in the western region of the province. No withdrawal took place there, despite the tension that resulted after Israeli fighter jets shelled PMFs in Syria near borders with Iraq.”

This is the first time any Iraqi source has stated Israel was behind the attack on the Syrian and Iraqi troops in southeastern Syria earlier this week.

The alleged Israeli attack resulted in the death of 22 Hashd Al-Sha’abi members and well over 30 Syrian Arab Army soldiers.

“Yeah total, they fought side by side with American coalition which Israel is a part of in Mosul” => Israel is not part of CJTF/OIR. Sadly : they’d have been able to wipe-out ISIS in 48 hours… Well, same for France, Russia even faster and the Yankees even faster than Russia, but we’re not in a hurry, since this is low intensity warfare, it’s useless to spend more… “nothing but Zionist lapdogs thats what you Shias are” “isil was US/Israel slave who killed millions of sunni muslim. if it was not for Shia fighters . your Zionist master and their… Read more »

Syrian perspective reports the US Airforce has just recently struck several SAA units located in Dier ez-Zor, they claim the SAA units were pursuing Isis units heading south to the Al-Tanf area. No fly zone please President Putin, or is that too much to ask for. Has anyone heard how the Israeli jets got to Dier ez-Zor in the first place, not through Iraqi airspace I’ll bet, definitely not through Syrian, Erdogan’s airspace is the more likely route taken and the only alternative to the other two, I’m waiting for a backlash if that’s the case. Why isn’t anyone asking… Read more »

The PMU ‘s were made part of the Iraqi Army in December 2017, to the disdain of Zionist expansionists , who see all the Fertile Crescent as their playfield, God-ordained. It was part of Menachem Begin’s personal mythology and propaganda narrative that Hebrews were the inhabitants of the ancient city of Ebla , near today’s Saraqib , 55 km SW from Aleppo, at 3500 BCE.
