BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:00 P.M.) – The 26 Qatari hostages from a hunting party in 2015 were released to the Iraqi government on Friday, the Associated Press reported.

Quoting government and security officials, the Associated Press claimed that all 26 Qatari hunters were released this morning after more than a year of negotiating with the groups involved.

Among the kidnapped Qataris were members of the Al-Thani royal family, the report added.

According to some unverified reports, the Qatari regime paid millions of dollars to secure the release of the hunters; however, this is still unconfirmed.
