An Iraqi man stopped a would-be suicide bomber from the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) from reaching his intended target on Thursday night; thus, saving dozens of lives at the Sayyed Mohammad Shrine in the town of Balad.

According to Iraqi activists, the man was identified as Najih Shaker Al-Baldawi – a local resident of Balad that physically stopped the terrorist from entering the shrine before the latter detonated his suicide vest, killing them both in the process.

Without Al-Baldawi’s heroics on Thursdsay night, the death toll from the Islamic State terrorist attack at the Sayyed Mohammad Shrine could have risen exponentially.

    • How do you know that Najih Shaker Al-Baldawi’s selfless action was not “Allah’s will”? I suspect that it was. He will get his 72 virgins, and so much more.

      4:92. Never should a believer kill a believer. […]

4:93. If a man (a believer) kills a (another) believer intentionally his recompense is Hell to abide therein (for ever): and the wrath and the curse of Allah are upon him and a dreadful penalty is prepared for him.

The “Burning forever” is reserved for the bomber, according to the Q’uran.

  1. I don’t know if I would have the balls to do that. I wonder if he knew that what he was doing was going to cost him his life at the time. What a great man. I can’t think of a better way to go than saving the lives of others.

  2. Attack on Shiite shrine north of Baghdad, 36 killed
Iraq police officials said “an attack carried out by multiple suicide bombers on a Shiite shrine north of Baghdad has killed 36 and wounded 52”. Police officials say the attack began late last night when a suicide bomber targeted policemen guarding the entrance to the Sayyid Mohammed shine in Balad, 80 kilometers north of the capital Baghdad.

  3. thank you Najh Shaker Al Baldawi for saving these people and blessing us with your courage. You must be inscribed in the Eternal’s book of life for infinite blessing.

  4. God will bless this great man. His selfless, ultimate sacrifice will instill in all good people to bring a swift end to the maggots known as Daesh– cutthroats and brothers of Satan, Bush, Obama and the bitch and the witch in the White House- the foul smelling mass murderer Clinton-and her over-sexed Billy the Balls boy, also a murderer of humanity–

  5. That’s not heroics–that’s real heroism. He made the world a better place–and a worse one. Better because he prevented some horrors, worse because he’s not in it anymore. God bless him.
