BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:30 A.M.) – The Iraqi-led Hashd Al-Sha’abi forces carried out a powerful attack against a group of Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) terrorists near the key town of Al-Sousah.

According to the official media wing of Hashd Al-Sha’abi, their forces fired several artillery shells towards the Islamic State’s defenses near Al-Sousah, resulting in the death of several terrorist combatants.

Hashd Al-Sha’abi said that their attack resulted in the death of at least 15 Islamic State terrorists.

The Al-Sousah front is located inside the eastern countryside of the Deir Ezzor Governorate and it is currently under attack by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF); they have been working to capture this Islamic State pocket for several weeks now.

With nowhere to retreat east of the Euphrates, the remaining Islamic State fighters are bracing themselves for a final stand against the advancing Syrian Democratic Forces.

Once the Syrian Democratic Forces clear this pocket, they will be able to reinforce their front-lines along the Turkish border.

Please treat this discussion with the same respect you would a public park. We, too, are a shared community resource — a place to share skills, knowledge and interests through ongoing conversation.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling
  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

Buena opción para ayudar a acabar con ISIS para que EE.UU. se retire de Siria y no busque excusas para quedarse.
