Following the siege on Mosul University by Iraqi forces, ISIS are on the retreat on one of their last major strongholds in eastern Mosul.
Iraqi forces have liberated a number of buildings on the campus, Al-Sumaria reported.
The university was a major hub for ISIS in eastern Aleppo and was reportedly a used as a base to produce chemical weapons.
Meanwhile, PressTV reported that Iraq’s Elite Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) units liberated Freedom Bridge, the second one running across Tigris River in Mosul, raising the national flag over the structure.
