BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:40 P.M.) – The Iraqi Army, alongside the Federal Police, liberated another important part of western Mosul, forcing the Islamic State (ISIL) forces to retreat to their last bastion inside the city.

According to Iraqi activists, the army and their allies liberated the Tanak District of western Mosul today, killing and wounding several Islamic State terrorists in the process.

With Tanak under their control, the Iraqi Armed Forces now control 65 percent of Mosul, leaving only a small portion of the city still in the possession of the Islamic State terrorists.

The Iraqi Army launched their western Mosul offensive in late February this year; since then, they have captured a large portion of the city from the Islamic State, while their allies from the Popular Mobilization Units (Hashd Al-Sha’abi) concentrate on the western countryside of the provincial capital.

Well done to the Syrian Army and Assad! Thank you Putin for helping him. Turkey remains a gaping hole of islamic extremists flowing into Syria and no doubt ISIS aka islamic caliphate and its mujaheddin are taking up residence there now that they are being ousted, under the wing of the despot Sultan Erdogan.
