DAMASCUS, SYRIA (4:40 P.M.) – The Iraqi Army, alongside their popular committees, made several important advances today inside Mosul, liberating two key districts from the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS).

According to the Iraqi Army’s Chief of Staff, their forces managed to liberate the districts of Al-Qadsiyah Al-Thaniyya and Arpashay after a fierce battle with the Islamic State terrorists in Mosul’s eastern sector.

Following the liberation of these districts, the Iraq Armed Forces turned their attention westward, where they were seen shelling the nearby Al-Zubhour area of eastern Mosul.

The Iraqi Armed Forces have made significant progress inside of Mosul recently, forcing several Islamic State units to retreat towards the city-center in order to fortify their defenses.

Please treat this discussion with the same respect you would a public park. We, too, are a shared community resource — a place to share skills, knowledge and interests through ongoing conversation.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.
