BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:20 P.M.) – Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah ‘Ali Khamenei, stated during a meeting on Friday that the Israeli regime will not survive for much longer.

“The problem with the Zionist regime is that it lacks legitimacy. A regime that has been established on a villainous bases will definitely fall,’ Ayatollah Khamenei stated on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.

“The only way to counter policies of the criminal Americans and Zionists is to identify the enemies’ plans and resist them,” he continued.

The Iranian Supreme Leader stated that Israel is attempting to split Muslim nations and cause problems between them.

“One of the reasons behind the creation of the Zionist regime was to split Muslim nations and cause problems for them, but historical experiences show that the Zionist regime which faces illegitimacy issues is not here to stay,” he stressed.

He also said that establishing covert and overt political relations with some weak-natured regional countries or the U.S.’ recent relocation of their embassy to the historical city of Jerusalem will not give Israel legitimacy.

“The Zionist regime is founded on threats and intimidation, along with driving a nation out of its country; that’s why the illegitimacy of the Zionist regime has been etched in the heart of the Muslim nations and no one can wipe out the map of Palestine from the historical memory of the world geography,” he continued.

He emphasized the need for a referendum among ‘the real Palestinians’, including the Muslims, Christians, and Jews, in order for the establishment of a new Palestinian government.

“Holding such a plebiscite equals the annihilation of the fake Zionist regime and establishment of a Palestinian government based on the Palestinians’ votes, which will definitely take place in the near future,’ he added.
