TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Army Ground Force on Saturday unveiled its latest achievements in manufacturing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).

In a ceremony in Tehran held to publicize the new achievements, Commander of Army Ground Force Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan described drones as his forces’ sharp eyes and far-reaching arms.

He said the pilotless aircraft of the Ground Forces have successfully carried out all missions in war games and exercises so far.

The top commander also highlighted the usefulness of drones in controlling the borders, which he described as the Army’s main responsibility.

Iran has now a broad range of UAVs which can be used for both civilian and military purposes.

Back in August, the Army Ground Force unveiled a homegrown drone used for jamming and deception operations. In December 2014, the Ground Force for the first time utilized a type of suicide drone in a large-scale military exercise.

Oh, looks like another reverse engineering. But funnier thing is coming : Iran will get 24 Chengdu J-10 jet fighter in exchange of letting China exploiting their biggest oil field for 20 years (frankly : not a good deal!)… Where it becomes really funny : J-10 : IAI (Israelian Aircraft Industies) Lavi : http://www.defenceaviation.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/image004.jpg When israelian govt cancelled the project, IAI sold it to Chengdu. Chengdu did a few mods but it’s still clearly a Lavi… So seeing Iran with a “zionist” aircraft makes both the aerial community and the militaries ROFL even more than when they release US gear… Read more »

Who said I had problems with reverse engineering? It’s the best enemy to capitalism but it becomes funny when you present this as being “new”, kinda like you’re a painter showing his new achievement : Dona Lysa, a copy of Mona Lisa… Now, when it becomes really laughable it’s seeing Iran using an israeli aircraft, even if they sold the plans to the chineses, BTW, the Lavi is a mix of F-16 and Mirage with canards surfaces, like when they’ve put canards on the Kfir, a reverse engineered Mirage 5. But I can reassure you : the F-35 is nothing… Read more »

1-Surely it’s new. Not for you but for us. 2-No. It is not laughable. 3-Thanks for your useful technical information. 4-“There is no science linked to religion”. I did not say such a thing. Surely some of those US engineers who make F22, or spacecraft or … go to Church or u want to say all of them are atheist !? Aren’t they Christian? 5- “you’ll have to tell me what was the science from this area which was used for a thousand years”. NO. As far as you have not answered to my non-answered question in the following link,… Read more »

“2-No. It is not laughable.” => Yes it is! One way, Iranian state vows the destruction of Israel, the other way US hate the commies and now you see Iran using a israeli conceived aircraft and the US using a soviet designed aircraft. Even if a few mods were made to the original project, it’s even enormous, it’s just like if the first Tsahal’s jet had been the Messerschmitt Me-262 or if they had bought their uniforms from Hugo Boss… “4-“There is no science linked to religion”. I did not say such a thing. Surely some of those US engineers… Read more »

1- OK. You laugh if it is laughable.
2- “pray Jesus/Yahweh (which is the same entity in fact)” LOL. It shows you are not impartial as you claim. By the way, Jesus has used the word “Allah” in the Aramaic Bible.
3- You have not still answered my question.
