BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:00 P.M.) – Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami arrived in Moscow this morning for the upcoming Conference on International Security.

According to a report from state-owned IRNA, the Iranian Defense Minister is expected to meet with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoygu this evening.

The primary topic of discussion for this Iranian-Russian meeting will be defeating terrorists in Syria, the IRNA report added.

In addition to today’s meeting, the two ministers are expected to hold joint talks with their Turkish counterpart; this will be focused on bringing peace to Syria.
