BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:10 P.M.) – The commander of the IRGC’s Al-Quds Force, Major General Qassem Soleimani, stated on Monday that Saudi Arabia spent over $200 million on the Lebanese election.
According to Iran’s Fars News Agency, Major General Soleimani released a statement congratulating Hezbollah on receiving 74 of the 128 seats during the parliamentary elections; he would then accuse Saudi Arabia of spending $200 million to sabotage the Lebanese organization’s success.
“Hezbollah for the first time grabbed 74 of the 128 seats of the Lebanese parliament and now all the parliament members will be resistance forces,” he stated.
“They put the names that bring joy to the heart of Muslims, such as Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, next to the terrorists. He is the man who defeated the most important enemy of the Arab world [Israel],” he added.
