BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:45 P.M.)- On Saturday, the Iranian Ministry of Defense announced that it will soon unveil dozens of new military products on “Defense Industries Day.”

The Assistant Secretary of Defense, Brigadier Saeed Habanaan, told a military committee that on the 40th anniversary of the “sacred defense”, Iran’s “defensive achievements will be unveiled on Defense Industry Day next August 21.”

He added, “The aim of this meeting is to coordinate the organization of the 40th anniversary ceremonies in the best possible way at the country level, especially at the level of the armed forces and the Ministry of Defense.”

For his part, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense and Support of the Iranian Armed Forces announced the unveiling of dozens of new defense products under the patronage of President Hassan Rouhani by Defense Industries Day on August 22, 2020.

The second brigadier, Daoud Abdi, the undersecretary for cultural affairs and public relations said in a coordination meeting on the commemoration programs of the 40th anniversary of the sacred defense that “the full health protocols must be taken into account due to the spread of coronavirus.”

Abdi emphasized that “the Ministry of Defense will unveil dozens of new defense products in the presence of the President of the Republic on the occasion of Defense Industries Day,” saying: “If today the defense industries reach the prestigious position in the region despite the sanctions, these are the fruits of sacred defense experiences.”
