BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:15 A.M.) – Iran is preparing to supply the Syrian Armed Forces with their new domestically-made warplane and S-300 missile system, a military source in Damascus told Al-Masdar News last night.

According to the source, the Iranians are planning to supply the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) with their newest warplane, which is dubbed the “Kowsar.”

Furthermore, the Iranian military is planned to supply Syria with their own version of the S-300 missile defense system.

No date was given regarding this transfer.

The Iranian military receive their first batch of S-300 missile defense systems last year after they purchased them from the Russian government.

Iran often produces their own domestically-made military equipment that is modeled after U.S. and Russian manufactured weapons; this has been a concern for Israel, as they fear these weapons will be transferred to their allies like Hezbollah.

Meanwhile, Iranian Basij oppresses Iranian population with sharia.
100,000 people not agreeing with the mullahs’ dictatorship assassinated between 1979 and 1988, about 1,000 executions a year, roads are so fücked they kill 30,000 ppl a year, 70% of population suffers of water crisis, young people are bing jailed and beaten just because they have a party or because they dance!
Respect for the mullahs still not all having been hanged by the population.
Their long overdue Persian winter is coming, their graves too.

i live in Tehran and for so so long time nobody jailed or beaten for having party and stones because of sharia. where did you get your 100000? it was 10000 on top and it was Necessary because of their treason and selling themselves to saddam.
roads kills 15000 because of easy reached driver licenses. and in most (95%) of the cities water is accessible.

Meanwhile they oppress the Iranian people and spread terrorism and war.
Ho Chi Minh and Giap did the same taqiyya, posing as resistance to oppression…
The Viet-Cong was FAR WORST than Diệm or Thiệu regimes. They even backed Red Khmers who slaughtered the 3rd of Cambodia’s population.

I certainly hope Israels fears are realized. S-300s in Lebanon would really cause the c**p to roll down their pants. Kosar might not be state-of-the-art…but with new weaponry could still be very effective. I commented the other day this would happen. See Israel, this is what happens when you force people to arm themselves.

And old cow like a copy of the 1962 F-5? Seriously?
For now, there is only a single prototype…
No less than 2 years to build an assembly line and as F-5 is very simple, no less than 12-18 additional months for 1st delivery…
Better go for the 2nd hand market and have Russia upgrading, pfff.

There is no “Iranian S-300” : Bavar 373 is a 1967 “Raytheon RiM-66 Standard” elongated a bit to gain range and fit into canisters.
S-200 is more recent (1970) and has interesting upgrades available.

This gear is straight from museums.
