BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:45 P.M.) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that the intelligence services had identified 40 American figures involved in the assassination of the later commander of the Quds Force, Major General Qassem Soleimani, which took place on January 3rd.

The announcement came from the Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Mohsen Baharund, who said that the Iranian security and intelligence forces have identified to this moment the identity of 40 Americans involved in the assassination.

According to Baharund, among the names identified by Iranian intelligence were the operators of the American planes that carried out the operation.

The statement of the Assistant Foreign Minister, which were reported by the Iranian Fars News Agency, came during a meeting held on Monday in the presence of representatives of the political, legal, judicial and military political institutions in Iran.

Baharund reviewed the latest developments related to the assassination file of Qassem Soleimani, noting that the security forces have identified those involved in carrying out the operation, “whether the commanders, directors, or assistants,” noting that a number of individuals operating the American drones have not been identified yet, but “this will be done soon.”

He confirmed that the judge is issuing an indictment of irrefutable evidence and evidence and that Iran “will not stop until these individuals are handed over to justice.”

He said that the countries whose lands were used to implement the process are “internationally responsible” and should “bear responsibility for this act in violation of international laws, and we will follow up on this issue in international forums and organizations.”
