DAMASCUS, SYRIA (11:15 AM) – During a visit of Foreign Responsible Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, Yusuf bin Alawi, to Iran, the two nations have issued a collective statement calling on Saudi Arabia to immediately cease its offensive operations against the Republic of Yemen.
Minister Yusuf bin Alawi voiced his country’s support for the stance of Iran regarding the Yemeni conflict during a meeting with his Iranian colleague Javad Zarif during a meeting in Tehran on Monday.
“There is an urgent need for ending the war in Yemen and also dispatching the humanitarian aid to the war-torn country,” Zarif stated during the meeting.
Omani minister Yusuf bin Alawi, for his part, voiced his support to what he called the Saudi massacre of Yemeni people.
The Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs of Oman is visiting Iran for the Second Tehran Security Conference, officially dubbed Regional Security in West Asia, Emerging challenges and Trends, which started on Monday as well.
