BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:30 P.M.) – The Supreme Court of Iran sentenced to death eight Islamic State (ISIS) members accused of carrying out the terrorist attack in Tehran last year, the Mehr News Agency reported.
“The death sentences of the terrorists, whose appeals were filed with the Iranian Supreme Court, were confirmed on Monday,” Sun Golamrezu Ansari stated.
The Revolutionary Court of Iran on May 13th sentenced the militants to death. Under the law, the accused could appeal the verdict within 20 days.
As a result of these terrorist attacks last year, about 20 people were killed and dozens of bystanders were injured.
