Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh has called Pakistan a “terrorist state” agter militants attacked on an army base in Kashmir in which nearly 20 Indian soldiers were killed.
“Pakistan is a terrorist state and it should be identified and isolated as such,” Singh said in a message posted on Twitter on Sunday.
The Indian minister expressed his disappointed with “Pakistan’s continued and direct support” for terrorist groups.
He highlighted that the terrorists “were highly trained, heavily armed and specially equipped.”
Meanwhile Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised that the militants of the “cowardly terror attack” would be punished. “I assure the nation that those behind this despicable attack will not go unpunished.”
