DAMASCUS, SYRIA (6:30 P.M.) – Tens of Eastern Ghouta civilians took to the streets today to protest against the ferocious rebel infighting currently sweeping the rebel-held districts in rural Damascus.

The protestors blocked the streets in Arbeen to urge the warring groups enter into negotiations and end the bloodshed in the already besieged Eastern Ghouta region.

Masked gunmen then unexpectedly showed up and opened fire on the protestors to disperse the demonstration. Fingers have been pointed to the Saudi-backed Jaish al-Islam that – according to many activists – is seeking to control the whole Eastern Ghouta.

At least 30 people were killed, 50 others wounded, including civilians – in today’s clashes between the warring parties.

More evidence if indeed its needed that the internecine terrorist fighting is no more than two rival gangs of thieves vying for the spoils of war.

Well civilians what more did you expect with this so called moderate rebels.they are just hooligans and they don’t care about any civilians,so no shock here that civilians were shot at.

Those civilians should demand they leave, instead of crying about this infighting.
