BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:15 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army broke-through Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham’s (formerly Al-Nusra Front) defenses at the outskirts of ‘Ayn Al-Fijeh tonight after a long battle in the Wadi Barada area of rural Damascus.

Led by the 4th Mechanized Division, the Syrian Arab Army launched a powerful assault in Wadi Barada on Sunday evening after civilians were safely escorted from the area by the Syrian Red Crescent Society.

The Syrian Army’s entry into ‘Ayn Al-Fijeh tonight marks the first time in several years that the government forces have a presence inside this imperative located just north of the jihadist-controlled towns of Al-Zabadani and Madaya.

As long as the jihadist rebels control the Wadi Barada area, they will dictate the water flow to over 5 million civilians living in-and-around the Syrian capital city of Damascus.

Ayn Al-Fijeh are the natural springs which feed drinking water to 5 million people in Syria. This water feeds the Barada river into lake Barada. Rebels of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham poisoned the water supply by pouring diesel oil into the springs. Their action was a war crime against civilians yet western media were surprisingly silent on this, especially Reuters who reported fighting at Wadi Barada.

“Rebels of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham poisoned the water supply by pouring diesel oil into the springs. Their action was a war crime”
+1!!! Thus, they’re not rebels : they’re al-Qaeda terrorists…
Well, if water polluted, as they’re very friendly with Russians, high time to drink vodka instead, especially as Syria seems to have a cold winter this year 😉

Again as usual you twist the truth by implying Russia supports Al Quaeda. Nothing you have ever said in your long trail of comments to these articles has ever connected with the truth, because like western media and the double talk of western Governments you too practice deception.

You have totally missed the irony of what I’ve put up!
If I follow your logics, Russia can be accused to help the takfiris as much as you accuse the coalition to be as both air forces stroke SAA twice. Never heard about demonstration by absurd? This is very usual in mathematics!
There are good treatments for paranoia : they mix psychotherapy with anxiolytics. It’s known to work well. Thus, if you smoke pot and have parano phases, just quit and it’ll get better!

Don’t be so paranoid. I would never stand between you and your medication. You really sink to new depths blaming Syrians for seeking Russian help.

Thanks for important work, Leith! This can be a good year for Syria, and I hope, for you as well.

However, perhaps you should use terms like “near” because you have north/south dyslexia. Madaya and Zabadani are just north of Wadi Barada, not vice versa (Wadi Barada is just south of Madaya). But we also have maps of PetoLucem, so this is clear.

Again another display of your ignorance. Muslims and Syrians refer to ISIS & Al Qaeda not as Jihadists but rather as Takfari terrorists.

Jihad is a just war. No true follower of Islam sees this terrorist insurgency of Syria supported by Western Governments as a just or holy war.

I don’t care, I’m actually an agnostic. They actually talk like jihadists, have jihad principles and act exactly like jihadist are told to in their book. Takfiri, mujahideen, jihadist, haschishines, no matter : all are terrorists.
BTW, the biggest of the funding comes from KSA and Qatar… It’s high time western governments stop hiding their heads in the sand like ostrichs and that the crooked politicians that take bribes from them to be sued for high treason as they sleep with terrorists.
It’s also high time they take care of those who actually are funding terrorism.

Nobody doubts Qatar & Saudi Arabia lubricate terrorism with their cash but their money bought arms from America, from Bulgaria in a deal involving the CIA and from Germany in another deal involving the CIA. The common thread which you are attempting to downplay is who orchestrates this?

Because it’s simply a regional conspiracy and, in 2011, they gained Killary’s green light through brib… errrrr… donations 😉 Let’s be clear : if it was the US behind it, Dr.Assad would now be pushing up the daisies for 4 or 5 years and would have ended ass-raped with a bayonet, Gaddafi style… “their money bought arms from America, from Bulgaria in a deal involving the CIA and from Germany in another deal involving the CIA” => ROFL!!!!! The CIA ain’t implied into arms sales to KSA! They simply legally buy these! BTW, they buy from many countries with weapon… Read more »
