BEIRUT, LEBAON (02:27 A.M.) – Heavy clashes have broken out in jihadist-held Idlib between Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and Ahrar al-Sham only one day after a ceasefire was made between the two warring parties.

Clashes broke out after HTS attempted to arrest a senior Ahrar al-Sham leader in Jebel al-Zawiyeh in rural Idlib according to sources.

The senior Ahrar al-Sham commander identified as Abu Musab survived an assassination attempt in Jebel al-Zawiyeh.

Activists in Idlib have blamed the latest clashes on HTS.

As part of the ceasefire deal made, the two rival factions were meant to resolve differences peacefully and organize an offensive against the Syrian Army in Aleppo’s countryside.

Meanwhile, Ahrar al-Sham commanders, Abu Abdulatif and Abu Abdulrahman al-Ghab, survived separate assassination attempts in Al-Ghab in rural Hama.

I remember that episode.

But in all seriousness, though. I expected the ceasefire to last 3 days.

Good news 🙂

The more they kill themselves the less civilians will be killed 🙂 🙂 🙂
