BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:00 A.M.) – The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) released footage of their Iron Dome system intercepting a Syrian missile that was fired into the occupied Golan Heights on Sunday.
As shown in the video below, people skiing on Mount Hermon (var. Jabal Sheikh) watched as the Iron Dome intercepted a missile that was fired from Syria:

Following this incident, the Israeli Defense Forces announced that they were closing off Mount Hermon until further notice.
“Based on the results of the assessment of the situation, it was decided that Hermon would not be open to visitors today”, the IDF tweeted over the weekend.
Israel has accused Iran of firing the missile; however, the IDF began the confrontation after they fired nine missiles towards western Damascus on Sunday afternoon.
They would later unleash a massive assault on the Damascus countryside, resulting in the death of at least four Syrian Arab Army (SAA) soldiers.
